BASED ON
A TRUE STORY.
Victoria Núñez grew up in a family deeply connected to prevention. Her father revolutionized the condom industry by expanding access beyond pharmacies, bringing the product to vending machines in nightclubs and mass-market shelves. That shift in distribution transformed how society perceived the product, helping to eliminate the taboo and normalize its use. Over time, the family brand was acquired by Durex. When she went out partying, Victoria would hand out condoms to her friends, earning her the nickname Lady Condom.
Years later, she came across silicone lids created to cover drinks at parties. They were designed as a response to drink spiking, but they had clear limitations: they weren’t sustainable or scalable. This reconnected Victoria with her family legacy; she realized she was facing a global, structural problem that needed a solution of the same magnitude. Otherwise, safety would remain a matter of luck or individual responsibility.
After years of research and testing, UPTAK was born: the evolution of a legacy that unites safety, design and prevention.
Not just a product — a shift in the system.
Victoria Núñez, founder and CEO of UPTAK, brings over 35 years of experience in prevention, business development and scalable product innovation. Her career has been shaped by a clear belief: prevention only creates real impact when it becomes accessible, desirable and part of everyday culture.
Today, she leads UPTAK with that same vision, transforming safety in nightlife and large-scale events through real solutions that combine design, functionality and social impact.
